CASE STUDY: Inner Freezer Chamber
Component: Freezing Cylinder Material: 304 Stainless Steel (Difficult to form)
The Challenge: Create a sanitary cylinder with a length-to-diameter ratio exceeding 3.5:1, requiring a heavier bottom flange but extremely uniform sidewalls for heat transfer.
The Solution: PMF utilized flowforming to maintain a wall thickness tolerance of +/- .005" with no taper, creating a sanitary finish on the inside diameter.
The Result: A seamless, high-precision cylinder with zero compromise to the customer's ideal design requirements.
